Chiquita's In Charge!

This pic for Poppi. He likes the G.D.'s Music.
Hey! Hey! HeyHeyHey! (giggle)  It's me.
Chiquita!   Boom. Boom. Chicka-chicka-boom-boom! (giggle).
As you know, I'm Sophie's little sis, and have been for almost 4 months now. I LOVE it here with big sis, Sophie, and bigger sis, Shaddow.    Shaddow is a nice old lady, but she prefers nap time to play time.  And I like to playyyyy-whheeeeeee. wheeee. wheeee! (giggle, snort.) I love it on TV when that little oinker says that  Anyway!  Sophie is not near as old as Shaddow and she will play with me some, inside.  When we go out I like to run, run-run-run, and she will do it for a bit.  But  after a couple of minutes, she's gasping for breath and complaining that her legs are too short for running.  Which I usually throw back at her by saying, "No they aren't. They reach the ground." (tee-hee!)
I know I probably rag on her a bit too much, because she really is a sweetheart.  She treats me as well, or better than my real mum would.  I love her.  I'm so glad Mummi and Poppi adopted me.  I don't remember much of my early life, but I do remember that when I first got here I was dirty, didn't smell good, and covered in fleas.  In fact, my first memory here is Poppi putting me in the tub and giving me TWO baths.  Not one, Two.  (brrrrr!)  But it got rid of the critters on me and I felt, and still feel, much better.  I really do have a good life now.  Food twice a day, a snack in the evening, plenty of water, and love all around.
Big sis Sophie will be back next time, but I just wanted to guest-blog (and may ask to do it again in the future. But before I go, let me share a little joke:  Q: What do that call it when you own too many dogs?
A: A roverdose.  (giggle. Get it? roverdose - I crack myself up)
To quote a famous feline: "T.T.F.N. - Ta Ta for Now"

Chicken (Chiquita) Little!

Hallloooo All!
The weather has turned quite nice in the last few days.  Cool but not cold.  Perfect for the full-figured Diva!  Not much in the way of news to pass.  Poppi and Mummi have been busy going about the business that is life.  Mummi has been a bit under the weather but now seems to be on the road to recovery. But there is one funny little incident that I would like to share......
With the cooler weather the leaves are starting to fall, along with the acorns from the oak in our front yard.  One evening Poppi had taken little sis and I out to do our business.  (Let me interrupt this story to say the Chiquita is doing much, much better with this now.  Accidents are coming much further apart.)  AnnnnyyyWaayyy....  I had finished and was nosing around the area when l'il sis assumed the position to do her business.  She was squeezing mightily and the little brown banana was about two-thirds of the way to the ground when an acorn fell and hit her on her back.  All at the same time, she yelped, jumped and pffftttt - the 'nanner disappeared.  And not on the ground.  Eeewwwww! (I nearly cried when I rolled over laughing.)  When she calmed down and realized what had happened, she composed herself, re-assumed the position (away from the tree) and did a re-dump.  That's RIGHT! She pooped the same log twice.   I know. I know.  But trust me, as disgusting as it sounds, it was funny.
Hugs, Kisses, and Belly Rubs for all!

Happy Birthday to Me!

Hello my lovelies!  After a long ( about 6 weeks) absence, I finally persuaded Poppi that I needed to get my presence back out there.  So - on to some catching up. Poppi and Mummi were understandably distracted with the arrival of the latest litter birth of their granddaughter, Savannah Sue, down in Florida.  While I understand their wanting to go down and visit the latest member of the family, I'm still a bit peeved that "moi" was left behind with a sitter.  I mean, I can understand Big Sis staying, she's a big girl and I can understand leaving little sis, she's still acclimating and getting trained.  But I am well trained and a proven traveler - I mean, really, I went all the way to Wisconsin (and back) with them once and had no accidents.  Hmmph!  However, I choose to take it that they had confidence in me watching over the other two and the homestead in their absence.
As the title indicates, today is my birthday.  In human years, I am 3.  I was born on this date in 2010.  At that time Poppi was still recovering from a bad accident, and I am proud to say that I was instrumental in his recovery.  While I was a mere youngster then, I did give him lots of TLC.  I know I won't see Poppi until late this evening as he is going to the local high school football game, but I fully expect him to treat me to the last piece of meatloaf from the fridge as a present (hint!hint!).  Poppi is a pretty good cook.
I'll try to get Poppi back to helping me with regular entries, but that's all for now.
Hugs, Kisses, and Belly Rubs for all!
