OMG! Like, What-evah!

Like, Clueless. Totally!
Hello my lovelies.  Welcome back to more wisdom from the Diva.   However, this time I am going to turn the "bully pulpit" over to my newest sis, Libby.  You read of her in my last post.  Now you know that Libby was a hippy chick in a previous life and she was into all that new age stuff, and some really old stuff like channeling and tarot cards.  So the other day, just for giggles, L'il sis, Chiquita, had Lib hypnotize her and Chiquita regressed to a previous life.  (Now, I'm not saying I buy it - but it was very compelling.)  It, was still Chiquita's voice, but the thought process and speech patterns were very alien to how she normally is.
Anyway, it turns out that L'il Sis, was a left coaster too, and prior to her unfortunate demise at an early age, she resided in the San Fernando Valley in California -  Yes, Chiquita was a Valley Girl! Like, Totally!
I actually had to walk away for a bit, the VG persona she was channeling was so mind numbing.  She went on for half an hour about "going to the mall and buying this bitchen dress for five bucks." Arrggghhh!  Like L'il Sis said once in her VG persona - Gag me with a spoon! Now, her VG name was Nikki and she was a bit of a bad girl.  Not mean to people, she was an airhead but nice.  But she was shameless in shoplifting - and had a passion for fancy undies. Anyway, she had told her friend Julie to "take a chill pill" and ke ep an eye out as she took a couple of outfits to try on - over several pairs of thong underwear she intended to keep when she left.  So, as she was trying to slip on a third thong, she lost her balance, fell, cracked her head, and never woke up.
I couldn't help but chuckle.  Oh. My. Gosh! What a totally radical VG way to die!  Thong undies around you ankles and your butt in the air. Gnarly Man!  Hmmmm! Might explain L'il Sis's seeming need to always stick her butt in your face.  I'm just saying.
So here am I, a Diva, with a hippy chick, and a Valley Girl.  Makes me wonder who I angered in a previous life.  I, so far, have said no to Libby's offer to regress me.  I am absolutely positive (and don't want to know different) that I was to the Manor born.  (Think Maggie Smith in a Victorian period piece - but with a sense of humor.)
Hugs, Kisses, and Belly Rubs for all!

Gotta Watch the Quiet Gurrrrls! ! !

Libby and Moi ! ! !
Hallloooo all my lovelies!  A couple of days ago when Mummi was coming in to the living room she noticed Poppi  chuckling and asked what was so humorous.
Poppi said that he couldn't believe it  - that Libby- calm, quiet, subdued, Libby - had been out in the yard barking up a storm.  (L'il Sis and I had already come int.)  Mummi also expressed disbelief at this, so  Poppi went on to say: "I had let Sophie and Chiquita in and Libby was out in the yard by the teardrop trailer.  It was still a little dark and I heard this loud, constant, & high pitched fierce barking.  I went out in the yard because I wanted to identify what type of dog was threatening Libby so.  Then I realized it was Libby barking."
Now Libby is a pretty quiet lady and rarely barks around our humans.  She will bark and run when its just us girls going out.  Now, when she came in  I asked her about the incident and she told me that there had been a hoppy-beast (which I figure was a toad or frog) moving sluggishly (cause the weather is cooling a bit).  She was going to eat it but the h-b said it would give her a little mind candy if she would spare him.  Since she wasn't really hungry, she said sure.  The h-b gave her some plant matter - which he didn't identify.  She watched him eat a little bit and suddenly hop away, rejuvenated.  So she ate the rest and before she knew it was bouncing and barking like crazy.  She still had the wild eyes and was floating when she told me this.
I just nodded and said, "Uh Huh, I knew you was a hippie freak in a previous life."
She just giggled, shook her head, and softly said, "You complaining or jealous?", and walked away with a shake of her tail.
Like I said, "Gotta watch the quiet girls."
Til next time- Hugs, kisses, and belly rubs for all!

Wednesday

DC in da House! ! ! ! ! !

Halloooo All!  Back again with a dish from the Diva.  Mummi's been all a-twitter with anticipation as she will have custody of her step-granddaughter for a few hours this afternoon.  The friend that usually watches DC for her mommy has to get a little work done on her vehicle, so Mummi volunteered to take care of the pup - um, baby! When she got here Mummi was talking silly gibberish at DC and she was cooing gibberish back, but then you expect babies to do that. Who really surprised moi was little sis and Libby (who recently confided in me that in a past life she was a human hippie chick in a commune. Her name was Ocean Breeze and she was in charge of the nursery and watched all the kids while the parents worked.)   I can (almost) believe it.  She was so calm around this child.  She even got in Poppi's lap and laid down as he rocked the baby.  From what Poppi has told me about what he knows about hippies and communes, I can see it.  Libby is so calm, so mellow, really laid back and gets along with nearly everyone.  Now, Chiquita, she was going the other way.  She was sooooo jealous of DC in Poppi's lap that the the green in her eyes were twin laser beams burning holes through the miles of pine forest around.  DC's gone home now and all is quiet,  Chiquita, Libby, and Moi all all catching a bit of beauty sleep now.
Hugs, Kisses, and Belly Rubs for all!

The D-I-V-A Has Returned!

Cue Dramatic Music! (Dum-Dum-DUMMMMMMM!)
Poppi and "da gurls" (from top: Libby,
Diva-licious, & Chiquita
After ten plus months I have FINALLY convinced Poppi that my public is missing their Diva.  As is the case in the passing of nearly a year, there have been MAJOR changes in the household - some nice, some not-so-much, and a couple near heart-breaking.
Since I try to keep the tone of my entries light, I will touch on the two devastating events. (1) Mummi's mommy passed away in December, 2014.  For more, read Mummi's blog.  (2) Big Sis, Shaddow, had a stroke in January, 2015, and had to be relieved of all pain.  You can read more in Poppi's blog.
SO, on to more pleasant thoughts.  With Big Sis gone, there was a bit of a void, not only fore me and L'il Sis (Chiquita sez HEY!) but for Mummi and Poppi as well.  So in March, 2015, Mummi adopted Libby, a 5 year old Bichon Frise.  She was rescued from a puppy mill where she was basically a breeding slave and was abused.  She was very scared, shy, quiet, and reclusive when she first got here, but 6 months with us has helped her to blossom.  She loves to play and explore.  She loves Mummi and Poppi.  Heck, she's even started hogging in on my fave - She loves the belly rub.  Now, even though, technically she's older than I am, (I'll turn 5 next month - shhh, keep it secret), I'm the Big Sis in the house now.  Literally.  Libby looks bigger (all that hair) but at 12 pounds only outweighs L'il Sis by 2 pounds!  And Chiquita is a chihuahua.  As Poppi likes to say, GO FIGGER!
Now around the time Libby got here, Poppi retired from Mississippi State University.  He's been staying busy, but he really want's to find a part time job.  He says, just to have a little "mad money".  (I don't know what he's mad about though.  After all, he lives in a house full of young females!  Hee-hee!)
Anyway!  Poppi has assured me that he will write my pondering for me a minimum of two or three times a month from now on.  I believe him.  Cause if I've heard Poppi say it once, I've heard him say a hundred times, "If you tell the truth, you don't have to worry about keeping your story straight."
Til next time, Hugs, Kisses, and Belly Rubs for ALL!

Lonely Week

We Miss Mummi!
Hi to All My Dah-Lings!
Been a little quiet around the homestead this week.  Mummi has been out with "her mummi" all week.  Poppi has been left here to fend for himself and tend to us girls (Me, Lil Sis - Chiquita, and Big Sis - Shaddow).  Now Poppi has no problems caring for our home and inhabitants.  He can cook, clean, and "do laundry" with the best of them.  (Ya know - I still haven't figured out whey Mummi chuckles whenever she says that.  Any-who.........)  But I can tell he misses having Mummi around.  We love him, but us girls are not great conversationalists. (Hard to believe I know - but true.

Now that deeeee-lite-ful young lady, Kim, has been caring for grand-mummy's "creature" and been leaving her little girl, Zeebee, with us to socialize while she has to go to work.  That's fine, she's a nice girl, but I hope Poppi's gonna account for our treats that he shares with her.  Uhhhh -Bad Dog.  I am a bad dog! I know Poppi is going to treat us good. Now he........ what.....Chiqui....okay, okay.... fine.  I will now, briefly, turn this over to lil sis.

heee, hee, hee.  Hey! Hey, Hey! I gots new clothes!  Poppi got me dis sweater a couple of days ago and it is soooooo warm and shows off this girl's firm & trim body so fine.  AND, its got pink accents - just the thing!  Wheeeeee! I love it.  (Here's a link to a model wearing one - http://i5.walmartimages.com/dfw/dce07b8c-d21b/k2-_8c2c0c8d-55ca-485c-976e-26173a01e4c8.v1.jpg)  Ummmm - Okay. FINE!  Back to "THE DIVA".  (I did not stick my tongue out.  I had a piece of food caught in a tooth.) DID TOO!

Hi Again All.  Sorry, sometimes Lil Sis gets carried away with excitement.  But she is a teenager.  That's it for now.
Hugs, Kisses, and Belly Rubs for all!

Guest Commentary by Chiquita

Hello all.  I am trying to get Poppi back on posting my entries on a regular basis - but it is a J -O - B!  That said, in order to shut her up, in reponse to many requests - back again is my little sis - Chiquita - as guest commentator.  Hugs, Kisses, and Belly rubs for all!  Chiquita - its all yours....................

Heee heee hee hehe! Hi to all of Big Sis's followers.  I just wanted to share a few words and a few pictures I like.

WORD!

You're laughing, but I'm serious.  Potent bombs come in small packages!

The other day Poppi, Sophie, and I went on a short drive (next house down).  Poppi parked and when he opened the door Sophie jumped out, started barking and ran toward the back, so I did likewise - running and barking. (I looooove to run.) Well, big sis stopped short and I kept on for a short way - running and barking fiercely.  I realized I was chasing this BIG, vicious animal  (well - big anyway) and stopped. (Sigh! I have to admit that when I realized what I was doing - I piddled.  Don't laugh. I couldn't help it.)  At that point I realized that Poppi was watching us and laughing out loud.  He hurried through what he was doing and rushed home to tell Mummi.  And she LAUGHED TOO!  I was doing my watch dog duty and getting laughed at.  I was mollified later when Poppi was holding me, apologized, and called me his "brave little deerstalker".  I like the sound of that.

And remember, People with pets live longer!  Its True!  Look it up!

Monday

Happy, Happy, Happy Birthday to Yooooooooooo...................

Big Sis and I
Hi All,  I know I posted last week, but I couldn't let today go by without a HUGE "Happy Birthday" wish to my Big Sis.  Shaddow is a "gen-teel" ole southern lady of 13 years.  She has been the one constant in my life since I joined Poppi and Mummi's household 3+ years ago.  She's showing her age a bit and gets around somewhat slower than she used to (but who doesn't).  She naps quite a bit and though she still plays a bit, doesn't do it that often.  I heard Poppi say that her equivalent in human years would be 91.  A long and full life by any standard, but I know Mummi & Poppi look out for her, keeping and eye on her health, and hoping she has a long and continued pain-free life.
Chiquita (Lil Sis) is still in a little awe of her and stays away for the most part, but even she knows Shaddow is the senior canine in our home.  AnyWAY, HAPPY BIRTHDAY BIG SIS!  Look forward to celebrating your 14th next year.
Hugs, Kisses, and Belly Rubs for all!
