Hi my precious ones! This entry will take a little longer to type because for part of it I am requiring Poppi to be blindfolded and I will nose his finger to the correct key to press. Poppi has said he will never censor me, but I want to be sure, and it will magnify the impact it has when he actually reads it for the first time.
(Poppi is now blindfolded and will remain so until this is posted.)
If you are intelligent, like moi, you got a little chuckle out of this picture. I sincerely hope though, that all our two-legged friends just laugh it off. (As I'm sure Poppi and Mummi will.) With a show of paws, lets see how many of you know who actually rules the civilized world. Think about it. Most of our days consist of sleeping, eating, running, and playing. We even train our humans to throw sticks and balls for our benefit. Not to mention the "treats". Poppi has been trained to give us "girls" a treat every night at 9 o'clock. We act all excited at the word, treat, but its all a show. We EXPECT it. And Mummi think she's SOOOO clever asking Poppi around that time, "Have you given them their special?" Like we don't know that "special" is code for "treat". But we play dumb and let it slide off our backs. Although I really had to emphasize the non-reaction will little sis Chiquita. (Belated Happy Birthday, Sweetums!) Chiquita turned one year old on March 21st. Such a cutie, and with time I will have her "Diva-fied", like moi. Anyway, all you quadraped friend of mine, Keep up the charade. Its a good life. DON'T mess with it! (Tears for Fears Song Link)
Hugs, kisses, and Belly Rubs for All!
Sophie's Sojourns ~~ "The Diva Dishes":::::Born 4 October 2010, I came to live with papi and mummi wolf when I was ten weeks old. It really didn't take me long to train the wolf couple to give me plenty of attention, one really can never have enough. I love belly~rubs and TREEEATZ. Even my big sissa lets me have my way, cuz really, who can resist this adorable face?

It's been a while....
Hello all! Poppi has been promising me for weeks to bring my blog up-to-date. I FINALLY had to put my paw down and tell him there would be NO MORE BELLY RUBBIN' until this post was published. (This Diva knows how to get things done honey!)
The holiday season went well and all Poppi's litter got back to their own homes safely. The family is nice, but a crowded house does throw off our routine and tends to skew all the training I've done. Nice to get back to just our little group (Mommi, Poppi, Big Sis, Little Sis and I). Some may scoff, but there is a lot of good things about having a routine. Shaddow (Big Sis) is 12 1/2 (which is 88 in dog years) this month. I do worry about her some. She's still getting around pretty well, but when she lies on her bed, it seems to take her a bit longer to get comfortable and she's moaning and groaning a bit more. I'll usually lie with her some until she starts getting sleepy.
I swear though, Chiquita (L'il Sis), is part kangaroo. I've seen her make complete circuits of the living room and never touch the floor. She leaps from chair to chair to ottoman to Shaddow's bed. And these aren't short jumps. She's so bouncy that I've heard Poppi remark that maybe they should have named her "Tigger".
Most of the cold weather is leaving the area, but there are few more sub-freezing nights ahead in the next two weeks. After that though, we shouldn't see ice until next winter. (Which is big for someone such as Moi - built with sleek, low lines.
That's about it for now, but Poppi swears that I will have my musings posted on a more regular basis.

I LUVVVV little People!!!
Hello All! This past Friday one of Poppi's litter kids was in town with his family for a couple of days as his wife was graduating with her PHD and their little one was with them. Well, Poppi promised the little one (that he calls J-Man) to make him pancakes for breakfast when he went to bed Friday night.
So Saturday morning, J-Man was running around - and agitating poor little Chiquita - when Poppi told him to settle down, that he was cooking pancakes. So Poppi made blueberry pancakes with maple syrup for the J-man, along with chocolate milk to wash it down. YUMMMM! Or as Poppi said, "Breakfast of Champions". I have to admit that Poppi is a pretty good cook. Cause I had my share. J-Man is not a careful eater, but with Chiquita and the 2 visiting doggies circling the chair, it was a matter of calculating the flight angles of each dropped morsel. Now I'm not one to brag (well, Much!) but I'm pretty good at canine mathematics, and I probably got 2 pieces to everyone else's one. Plus a little choco-milk spillage. I have to agree with Poppi - "Breakfast of Champions!" I'll have to be on my toes this week though - as I know from Mummi's and Poppi's conversations that Poppi's entirelitter family will be in this week as they celebrate Christmas. (A bit early I know, but it's about the only time that they could all get together.) Lots of spills and goodies to look forward to.
Hugs, kisses and belly rubs for all!

Thanksgiving Wish
Now, when my pregnant mother (a full blooded Chihuahua) was dropped off at the humane society, they said they had no idea what my father was. I think maybe he was a sailor. I've heard about sailors, ya know? :-)
As it is about Thanksgiving (Yum! Yum!), my family (human and my sisters) give me lots to be thankful for. I've heard folks say, "Just be thankful for what ya have - it could be lost before you know it." I take that to heart. I sometimes see skinny doggies slinking along the highway when I ride somewhere with Poppi (and maybe L'il sis). I might shudder and kinda snuggle down beside sis in Poppi's lap - happy to be where I am. No one can save everyone, but I hear Mummi and Poppi say sometimes how happy they are with our human/canine household and it makes me happy. We are a good family. I hope yours is at least as happy. Happy Thanksgiving to all!

Chiquita's In Charge!

This pic for Poppi. He likes the G.D.'s Music. |
Chiquita! Boom. Boom. Chicka-chicka-boom-boom! (giggle).
As you know, I'm Sophie's little sis, and have been for almost 4 months now. I LOVE it here with big sis, Sophie, and bigger sis, Shaddow. Shaddow is a nice old lady, but she prefers nap time to play time. And I like to playyyyy-whheeeeeee. wheeee. wheeee! (giggle, snort.) I love it on TV when that little oinker says that Anyway! Sophie is not near as old as Shaddow and she will play with me some, inside. When we go out I like to run, run-run-run, and she will do it for a bit. But after a couple of minutes, she's gasping for breath and complaining that her legs are too short for running. Which I usually throw back at her by saying, "No they aren't. They reach the ground." (tee-hee!)
I know I probably rag on her a bit too much, because she really is a sweetheart. She treats me as well, or better than my real mum would. I love her. I'm so glad Mummi and Poppi adopted me. I don't remember much of my early life, but I do remember that when I first got here I was dirty, didn't smell good, and covered in fleas. In fact, my first memory here is Poppi putting me in the tub and giving me TWO baths. Not one, Two. (brrrrr!) But it got rid of the critters on me and I felt, and still feel, much better. I really do have a good life now. Food twice a day, a snack in the evening, plenty of water, and love all around.
Big sis Sophie will be back next time, but I just wanted to guest-blog (and may ask to do it again in the future. But before I go, let me share a little joke: Q: What do that call it when you own too many dogs?
A: A roverdose. (giggle. Get it? roverdose - I crack myself up)

Chicken (Chiquita) Little!
Hallloooo All!
The weather has turned quite nice in the last few days. Cool but not cold. Perfect for the full-figured Diva! Not much in the way of news to pass. Poppi and Mummi have been busy going about the business that is life. Mummi has been a bit under the weather but now seems to be on the road to recovery. But there is one funny little incident that I would like to share......
With the cooler weather the leaves are starting to fall, along with the acorns from the oak in our front yard. One evening Poppi had taken little sis and I out to do our business. (Let me interrupt this story to say the Chiquita is doing much, much better with this now. Accidents are coming much further apart.) AnnnnyyyWaayyy.... I had finished and was nosing around the area when l'il sis assumed the position to do her business. She was squeezing mightily and the little brown banana was about two-thirds of the way to the ground when an acorn fell and hit her on her back. All at the same time, she yelped, jumped and pffftttt - the 'nanner disappeared. And not on the ground. Eeewwwww! (I nearly cried when I rolled over laughing.) When she calmed down and realized what had happened, she composed herself, re-assumed the position (away from the tree) and did a re-dump. That's RIGHT! She pooped the same log twice. I know. I know. But trust me, as disgusting as it sounds, it was funny.

Happy Birthday to Me!
As the title indicates, today is my birthday. In human years, I am 3. I was born on this date in 2010. At that time Poppi was still recovering from a bad accident, and I am proud to say that I was instrumental in his recovery. While I was a mere youngster then, I did give him lots of TLC. I know I won't see Poppi until late this evening as he is going to the local high school football game, but I fully expect him to treat me to the last piece of meatloaf from the fridge as a present (hint!hint!). Poppi is a pretty good cook.
I'll try to get Poppi back to helping me with regular entries, but that's all for now.
Hugs, Kisses, and Belly Rubs for all!
